It's 6:36am.

The little guy is two inches from my face.

"I wanna eeeeeeeeeeeeeat."

"Make Awffles?"

Daddy will make them on Sunday.

"Go church?!?!"

Yes. But not today.

"I wanna eeeeeeeeeeeeeat."

Rinse. Repeat as needed required.

Who can blame him when this is what he wants???

Isaiah's Belgian Waffles
Isaiah Clark House, Brewster, MA
Yield: 8 servings

3 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 Tbsp baking powder
2 tsps sugar

Beat the eggs in a bowl until thick. Add the milk, butter and vanilla extract and beat for 2 minutes.
Combine the remaining ingredients and sift them into the egg mixture and beat well.
Batter should be thick but pourable; add additional milk if necessary.
Butter a waffle iron, heat and pour the batter onto the hot iron. Serve with topping.

We love waffles! When Zachary was little and at preschool two mornings a week I'd make him waffles for lunch. It helped him get through his difficult morning. :-) I would tint them pink or green or blue with a few drops of food coloring. He and Erin thought that was awesome.... they still bring that up sometimes all these years later.
